I submitted my registration form - now what?

Look at the orientation date on the website under the tab of the program you're going to attend. You will receive an email detailing what to bring to that day approximately 2 weeks prior to it. If you sign up within the 2 weeks of that date, we will get an email to you with the info ASAP.

What if I have to miss a day?

We strongly encourage you not to do that if at all possible, but we understand that things happen. If you're going to miss a day, inform your Admin Team ASAP. Then work with them to determine how you will make up the day. It will be either through a presentation they will share with you OR it will be completed in the form of a paper. You must complete all makeup work no later than 2 months after the missed day. A third missed date constitutes your withdrawal from the program with an offer to return another year.

Do submissives bottom during the submissive program

In a word - No, Any type of play we work on in the submissive programs is something we do to ourselves. For example, on the day we do rope, we all bring rope and practice by tying ourselves. We don't even tie each other. submissives can bottom for the Dominant program; however, those arrangements are done on a personal level.

I heard there's homework. How much homework?

We utilize an online learning management system used by many educational systems to house our in between session assignments. After each monthly session, apprentices will complete a single module, which will have discussions and assignments within it for students to complete. All work MUST be complete before the beginning of the next month's sessions. In the beginning of the year, there is more homework and as the year goes on, the homework does lighten.

Is the Learning Management System for homework hard to use?

Absolutely not. It does take some time and practice to get in there and get going. At orientation, you need to bring a mobile device and we will walk you through setting up your account and engaging in your first discussion and assignment. And if you need help after that, we've got you, boo. Just ask.

Can I attend virtually?

Unfortunately, we do not have an online version at this time. The sessions are primarily experiential and online does not provide a platform conducive to this type of learning.

Where are the programs held?

Each program has been blessed to have community members donate space for the Mentors Program.

For the Austin programs, they meet in North Austin, TX as of 2025. For the Dallas programs, they meet in Boyd, Texas.

I need help with the homework, who do I ask?

Always go to your admin with any questions you may have. They'll be able to help you or point you to a Regent who can quickly help, including hopping on a Zoom call with you and walking you through whatever you need help with.

Who are the Regents?

That would be Master Neko, koneko, and slave raven. They are long standing members of the community and currently all live in the Dallas area. They own, develop, and run the program.

Who are the Mentors?

The mentors are experienced, vetted folx in the community who are freely giving of their time and energy to the programs and their apprentices. All mentors have at least 5 years in the community in person.

I've heard some wild rumors about the Mentors Program. Are they true?

The Mentors Program has been around for over 20 years and there are many fascinating rumors and truths out there about it. Have you heard something and want to know if it's true? Simply ask. We are a fairly transparent group of folx who will answer questions, while also being mindful of people's right to privacy. We've been asked all sorts of interesting things. So, the best way to find out, is to simply ask us.

What are the other costs?

Who do I contact if I have more questions?

You can contact us at admin@mentorsprogram.net.

The Mentors Program is a project of Empowered Exchange, a 501c3 organization.
